Over the past few months you may have heard some murmurings of change happening at the Twisted Ewe, and noticed one or two new faces in the shop too. Jessica, our manager, who has worked tirelessly over the past eight years to make the shop what it is today, will be leaving in February for new pastures. We are very excited for her new ventures, but she will be missed greatly by the staff at the Twisted Ewe, and by our customer-friends. The whiff of adventures in Bend, Oregon have caught Jess’ attention; she will still be working in the fiber/knitting world out of a yarn truck, and practicing her skills as a ceramics artist (if you’ve ever had a cup of tea or coffee at our shop, you probably drank it out of one of Jess’ great mugs!). We wish Jess all the best, and look forward to her visiting often. Follow Jess’ adventures by signing up for her contact list at the shop.
In December, Chadwick joined our team as Office Manager. Over the past month he has been getting to know all of the workings of the shop, and has already been a valuable addition. Also, he has caught the fiber bug, and is excited to dive into the knitting world and make all the things! We can’t wait to see what he does with this craft!
Last, but not least, there are changes happening for me, too! (This is Natalie) I will be the Floor Manager at the shop, starting in February! You may have seen me buzzing in and out of the shop over the years, working some retail hours, taking pictures for our website, and other social media outlets, and teaching knitting and crochet classes. I will be at the shop a lot more now, and look forward to seeing new and familiar faces, and supplying this valley with the great yarns, needles, hooks, and classes to which you have all become accustomed. I am excited to be taking a more hands-on role at the shop, and look forward to planning this year’s events, competitions, and new yarn lines with Carolyn and Chadwick. We have some great surprises in store!
You will have two opportunities to celebrate with Jess before she heads out to Oregon. Tuesday, January 16th is the last Late Knit Night that Jessica will be hosting. We will have a potluck at the shop from 6pm-10pm, filled with great conversation, and knitting/crochet time! And then, we will have Jess’ going away party on February 10th: more info to come on the details of this event, it is not being held at the shop so, be sure to call the shop or, stop by to sign-up for more details on this event!
We are excited to see what 2018 will bring for Jess, and for the Twisted Ewe, feel free to stop by and meet our new staff, and be sure to give Jess a great send off!
