Les Belles Lainages Trunk Show
"LBL always uses yarns that are ethically sourced from animals that are never mistreated. All our yarns are mulesing free. We use reusable and recyclable products (zip ties, twist ties, no single-use gloves, etc.) in the shop whenever possible and endeavor to keep improving when opportunities arise. The bags our undyed yarn comes in are biodegradable plastic. The cleanser I use is certified fair trade, made with organic oils to help calm the fiber after heating, is triple concentrated so I use very little and comes in post-consumer recycled packaging."
This excerpt taken from the Les Belles Lainages Etsy store, which can be found here, really gives a light into why we are excited to be hosting this small indie dye company this February! What a better way to start the year than with a company that is so lovingly focused on the environment!
Les Belles Lainages (which translates roughly to "The Beautiful Woolens" from French), is an adorable little dye studio from Birmingham, Alabama. The Twisted Ewe will be hosting them in store and online from February 4th to 10th. Just a short week to grab yourself a beautiful skein of yarn!
Also make sure to join us during our regular Facebook Lives on Thursday mornings at 10am! On Febraury 4th, we will be having a small interview with Christy, the beautiful mind behind Les Belles Lainages. Tune in to the live to listen to her story and ask any questions you might have for her!
