Demystify the art of crochet in this 2-hour workshop, and come away with a sweet little washcloth or two to use in your home! This class is geared towards beginners or those looking to relearn the basics after time away, and will serve as an introduction (or refresher!) to foundational crochet stitches (chain stitch, single- and double-crochet, and slip stitch), tension, and abbreviations (to help you get started reading patterns). You'll leave class with the skills needed to make other many crochet projects.

You can expect an easy-going and supportive environment. Our beginning instructors provide you with patient instruction and encourage your growth!

When: Saturday, July 16th // 11:30am - 1:30pm

Skills Learned: Basic crochet stitches, understanding tension, and pattern-reading

Please come to class prepared with the following materials:

- 1 skein worsted-weight cotton yarn, wound into a ball (our favorite is Universal Yarn's Cotton Supreme)

- A crochet hook in US size H, I, or J

Instructor: Cathy

I love art. All of it. My mother was a great artist and taught me so much. I enjoy the process of art. It seems to me that mistakes help us learn. It's the journey AND the destination :)

All students will receive 10% off materials purchased for class. Please come to class 10-15 minutes early if you need to purchase supplies and/or have us wind your yarn:)

Handmade sweaters and hats will last generations if made with the right materials.

Your talented stitching (beginner’s included) deserves to be supported with quality fibers and the right tools!
