Felted Daisy Soap 7/9Regular price $45.00
Learn how to make felted soaps in this 2 hour class on July 9th from 11:30am - 1:30pm. We'll first learn wet felting then transition to needle felting in the second hour for the daisy design.
Felted soaps are bars of soap wrapped in wool. The wool casing adds several benefits to the bar of soap. Felted soaps gently exfoliate the skin. Wool extends the life of the soap bar 3X as long. Wool casing is anti-bacterial, and will never mold. Since wool is biodegradable, the ball of wool can be composed or reused once the soap is used up. This makes felted soaps a zero-waste bath product.
Kids ages 8 and up are invited to take the class with an adult.

- Please bring 2 bars of natural soap. Traditional drug store brands like Dove or Irish Spring aren't ideal for this, as they're harder and can break or crumble during the felting process. Look instead for a soap with natural ingredients like olive or coconut oil, shea or cocoa butter, or even goat's milk! You can visit Roots Zero Waste Market or North End Organic Nursery for a selection of locally made soaps. Here is a great local option, as well.
- Bring 1 felting needle, size 36 or 38, or purchase one in-store
- Wool will be provided in class.
Additional felting packs are available for purchase.
