Felted Soap with Sheep 2/12Regular price $45.00
Learn how to make felted soaps in this 2 hour class. We'll first learn wet felting then transition to needle felting in the second hour for the sheep design.
Felted soaps are bars of soap wrapped in wool. The wool casing adds several benefits to the bar of soap. Felted soaps gently exfoliate the skin. Wool extends the life of the soap bar 3X as long. Wool casing is anti-bacterial, and will never mold. Since wool is biodegradable, the ball of wool can be composed or reused once the soap is used up. This makes felted soaps a zero-waste bath product.
Kids ages 8 and up are invited to take the class with an adult.

- Please bring 2 bars of natural soaps. We recommend goat's milk soaps, olive oil, or other softer soaps. Please avoid hard bars of soap such as Dove, Ivory, or Dial. The softer the soap, the easier the needle felting and less changes of breaking the needle! Visit Roots Zero Waste Market or North End Organic Nursery nearby for regionally made soaps.
- Bring 1 felting needle, size 36 or 38, or purchase one in-store
- Wool will be provided in class.
Additional felting packs are available for purchase.
