Back by popular demand!

In this 2.5-hour beginner drop spinning class, you'll learn how to spin wool roving* into 2-ply yarn using the park and draft method, and familiarize yourself with basic drafting and spinning techniques using the drop spindle. The last 45 minutes of class will be dedicated to learning how to ply your spun yarn.

Students will come away with their own hand-spun 2-ply yarn, and the skills necessary to keep drop-spinning on their own!

You can expect an easy-going and supportive environment. Our beginning instructors provide you with patient instruction and encourage your growth.

Kids 10 and up are welcome to take the class with an adult.

*If you have a wool allergy, please let us know so we can recommend a substitute!

When I asked my mom for a hobby all those years ago, I had no idea it would lead down a rabbit hole! From crochet to knitting to spinning, my life is a "ball" of several different colors and textures. Crafting should be fun, and imperfect. Like life, it's a learning experience!

All students will receive 10% off materials purchased for class. Please come to class 10-15 minutes early if you need to purchase supplies :)

Handmade sweaters and hats will last generations if made with the right materials.

Your talented stitching (beginner’s included) deserves to be supported with quality fibers and the right tools!
