We begin this cute, colorful cowl knitting flat, and work into short rows for the mirrored image sections. The pattern is detailed and easy to follow, and is a smaller version of some beautiful larger shawls. Try this one out and move onto the bigger one next!

Everyone is welcome to bring food and snacks to share.

When: Monday evenings in May from 5-7pm (the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th)

Skills needed: Intermediate knitting skills required

Please come prepared with the following materials:

- 2 colors of fingering weight yarn, wound into balls--you'll need 90 yards of one color and 73 yards of the other. Variegated varieties strongly encouraged! We personally recommend the Urth Uneek and/or the Manos del Uruguay Alegria.

- US size 2 24" circular needles

- Butterfly Cowl Pattern (purchase on Ravelry here)

What is a Knit Along? A KAL is group of knitters working on a project alongside each other. Our KALs are a great opportunity to meet other knitters in the community, and dedicate time to your craft in a cozy, friendly, and supportive environment. There is a special energy that comes from stitching with friends!

Handmade sweaters and hats will last generations if made with the right materials.

Your talented stitching (beginner’s included) deserves to be supported with quality fibers and the right tools!
