Toe Up Socks: Magic Loop Method
Socks are a fun way to test your skills and create a beautiful item at the same time! A lot of knitters start their journey with the wish to create socks. Well that time has come! Learn how to make beautiful socks that fit your feet in this class.
This is a 3 session class, on February 13th, 20th and 27th from 12:30-2:30pm.
It is a great first sock class, as it will teach you how to create a sock that fits you perfectly. You will also learn how to do the magic cast on for toe up socks, increasing, short rows for the heels, the stretchy bind off, and more!
After each class you will be asked to go home and do your "homework" by working further on your sock, so that by the next class you can get ready to do the next step! Basic knowledge of knitting is required to take this class.
Supplies are NOT included in the class, so you will need to come prepared with the following:
- US size 1.5 or 2/32" circular needle
- 1 skein of Fingering weight yarn, preferably with a bit of nylon. We suggest the Wacki Saki, which can be found in store or online here
- A few stitch markers of your choice
Cindy will be providing a personal pattern that she wrote herself. It is written to be able to be used for each persons individual gauge and foot size!
Any supplies bought for the class will receive a 10% discount. This offer is only available in store.
We will follow COVID-19 precautions in this class. We ask that wear a mask, wash your hands upon arrival, and sit at least 6 skeins (feet) from each other and your teacher.
Seats are limited to 4 students and the instructor to maximize social distancing.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this class!
